Chinese Coal Carrier Runs Aground Off Queensland

Apparently the Chinese coal carrying ship landed too soon-it hit a sandbank off Qld coast before arriving in China

I bet the Captain and crew swore in Chinese

Do Chinese ships carry depth sounding equipment and radar etc

Have they got rid of the Radio Officer-like Australia shipping

Did their navigation gear go on the blink-like computers do at times

Anyway Kevin Rudd reckons the ship should not be there

But other Aussie authorities say it has every right to be there-preferably not stuck

Then a State spokeperson says its not Qld fault--its in Commonwealth waters

So one can see the old State V Commonwealth issues arising again

We want more money etc to do your work

Meanwhile things are not as bad as could be

Oil is to be transfered-and perhaps coal-then an attempt to re-float the ship

Lets hope things go well for all concerned
