And every year over 50,000 horses who’ve spent their lives unloved and unnamed are transported, often thousands of miles, to slaughter.   [Photo] Our most recent investigation followed a truck filled with horses from Romania to Italy. The journey took more than 24 hours. Not once did the drivers provide the horses with water or let them out to rest. Transporting animals for so long without water risks severe dehydration, suffering and distress. It is a violation of EU law and a violation of basic human decency.See for yourself what our investigators discovered – view our undercover footage. [Photo]  Undercover investigations like ours take time and money. But they are vital to expose cruelty and make the case against unnecessary and inhumane practices like long distance transport. So, we will keep on investigating and campaigning until all farmed animals are treated with respect. But our work depends entirely on the support and generosity of people like you. Please do consider making a donation today and send our e-card to the European Commission in Brussels. Thank you, [Photo] Liam Slattery
