Puppy Farm Campaign

Animal Liberation's Puppy Farm campaign was brought to national attention with two articles in last week's Daily Telegraph, consisting of a full page 3 story accompanied by a follow-up story the next day.
In efforts to name and shame more Puppy Farms posing as legitimate breeders, Animal Liberation exposed the cruelty behind the deceptively named Kindee Kennels, a Puppy Farm that has been selling sick puppies to the unsuspecting public for over a decade, and has twice been raided by the RSPCA. Kindee Kennels had several hundred dogs on site, all living within wire cages in huge sheds, pumping out litter after litter of puppies to meet the demands of a $4.6 billion pet industry. Due to this investigation, Kindee Kennels now has to reduce its dog numbers to 10 by the end of next month.

Bobby Calf Campaign

The 7PM Project on Channel 10 aired a story about the Dairy Industry's cruel plans to starve male calves for up to 30 hours before they are slaughtered as the waste products of the dairy industry. If this upsets you, please take action:
  • write to newspapers and keep the issue in the spotlight
  • write to consultation@animalhealthaustralia.com.auand tell them that 30 hours without food is unacceptable and unethical
  • send an automated email to Dairy Australia here
  • thank the 7PM Project for covering the issue
  • give dairy substitutes a go... it doesn't just mean soy, there are a variety of non-dairy milks readily available these days including rice, oat and almond milks.
