D day arrives for Qld cyclone alert
latest news from ABC Radio Australia is:
cyclone is about 450klm from Cairns at 1pm
effect of cyclone will be upto 1 000 klm radius
250 klm winds
high tide surge
heavy inland rain and winds
affected areas north and south of Cairns and Townsville
moving south west
inland areas be on alert as well
people need to evacuate from threatened areas to refuge shelters
