So far Tony Abbott and the opposition have been unable to gain a ideological upper hand

There is merit in both sides of the argument--good housekeeping budget and saving

But what use is a surpluss of unspent money that John Howard had--it loses value--needless hardship

Then why overspend over borrow and keep introducing new taxes--overtaxed

Instead of practicing saving and good budget

Whoever has the votes will win

Whether right or wrong
