Aust Fed govt has failed to look after the interest of bulk billing patients in the Fed health scheme
Doctors can and do refuse to see patients
Most doctors seem to not favour bulk billing patients
But take fed govt tax payers money
There are a few bulk billing doctors
And most of these seem to be overseas trained doctors
where the AMA say are below aussie standards
yet look after bulkbilling patients the free enterprise doctors wont-or emergency depts etc
the fed govt should have taken over the aussie national health scheme and backed bulk billing doctors in the national interest
and left private doctors to the private system
maybe there will one day be a government that will have the courage to do so
who knows The Greens may be the people to do so
